In 2018; I have been intimately involved with digital design for 40yrs.  Professionally over three decades of classical and digitally tried and tested skills and experience; across  many creative design and media industries.

I started learning Computer Aided Design at Caulfield Institute of Technology at the age of 8. I got my first manual type and graphics setting job at 14 in 1984. Since those days, I have worked many positions in a range of industries. I have spent many years as a design and production expert, working for specialised personnel agencies in creative and design based services and design-driven technological industries. I worked for 5 years internationally and for 5 years locally; for large advertising agencies, graphic design studio's, publishing houses, production houses, fashion houses etc.

I have always been renowned, especially with creative personnel agencies or when contracted; for the ability to quickly learn and adapt to any creative or technical scenario; mostly, within 15 minutes/ up to an hour based on the size and scope of the business, I was able to expertly take on full duty and responsibilities of any assigned position or station in digital-driven companies and design communication agencies. Providing stakeholders, art directors, teams, account managers, production people etc. with all their requirements, transparently as if their absent team member was still present and working at full capacity or better. I have been trained in many creative, technical and educational disciplines. I am constantly personally developing myself in all my base fields, and all disciplines and extenuating fields that stem or are created additionally by them. I have highly developed computer and software skills, mastering a mind-boggling amount of software packages and have extensive experience with a very large range of versions of software and hardware packages.

I have dedicated my life to helping people communicate and visualise their idea's, needs and dreams, both creatively and technically. I empower business and individuals by meeting their needs, future proofing them and providing key stakeholders required technical aspects, knowledge and training so that their interaction and overview can be exponentially more productive, fruitful and less time-consuming.

I am a seasoned professional who drives the creative process with strong ideation skills to challenge conventional thought with new design and ideas; I am able to design any visual requirements for any digital or conventional marketing channel, creatively and technically. I have experience in pitching prospective clients from both design, business and technological perspectives.

I have extensive collaboration skills to lead engagements with stakeholders from small to global brands. I easily translate a client’s business and communication goals, as well as what a client’s end-user needs are and unite it all into powerful visual concepts and identities. I create visual languages that showcase creative vision yet uphold and sustain an understanding of each client’s unique circumstances, needs and requirements. Though my designs and roll-outs may be intricate, communicative and visually spectacular, I embrace unique, simple solutions that easily generate fast iterations to include and provide choice to stakeholders, allowing them ultimate involvement, harmony and satisfaction.

I actively take a hands-on role in leading ideation with clients and team members to create new digital and marketing solutions, then effectively take them from concept to final outcomes. I utilise agile methods to successfully drive and work by myself or within a multitude of hybrid teams and leading by making sense of clients’ business model challenges, future goals and turning this understanding into fruitful streamlined long-term creative and functional designs and solutions.

I have extensive art direction and visual design skills that I perform with an exceptional eye and attention to detail, form and function. I have a deep seeded love for the overall creative arts, design, communication and production fields, with an in-depth knowledge of building design system visuals, creating conceptual artwork, demonstrating and articulating the reasons behind agile design with structured, clear and concise reasoning. I can quickly sketch up flows and interactions, build high fidelity wireframes and create photorealistic prototypes. I have a deep-seated love for seeing designs to the end and doing the hands-on work to get there. I have profound expert knowledge and mastery to an arsenal of visual design, productivity and management software packages.

I have extensive experience with surrounding creative, marketing and production management functions and have strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills to get things done within given stages and turnaround times. I efficiently provide design support for the internal and external design needs of other departments and am always vigil to continue to support an ambitious, collaborative design culture. I enjoy assisting/ directing stakeholders, clients and teams in finding, pitching, realising and closing new goals, projects and users.

I have many long years of experience in designing and producing a wide range of communication services and products, having an extensive resumé and digital portfolio which displays a plethora of design work done from my beginnings to now, covering a wide variety of fields and industries.

Futurism

For the last three decades, I have clearly seen the future. I easily perceive and avidly make the future possible for my clients. I  am able to collate and create impressive data based on fact for mapping future needs, developments, trends and technology. I quickly combine and create products and services that are highly usable and marketable. I have great understanding and respect for the past yet infuse all my work with forward thinking and technological unity. I time and time again; advise, devise, design, refine, build, create and provide future commodities and services with great pleasure, commitment and contentment.

I have a given ability to tell people what will come to be, map their future provide them with concise, structured information that allows them to do something about it or towards realisation. I am quickly able to systemise, structure and visualise future looks, trends and technological advancement, yet understand building & mechanical principles and respect technological limitations. I am able to see past culture, class, economical, political limits, time and space to envision the whole future human picture. I look into the future and tell people what the world will be like and what they are headed towards and designing for. I have an immaculate perception for conception of timeless solutions and designs. The relationship we have with our customers and employees is all just a narrative of which we are experts at telling the story needing telling, I have the ability to shape the future of digital retail and communication. We are currently where science and technology have improved to the point where what I build for stakeholders and their needs, can only be contained by the endless limits of my experience, general all-around skills, ability, imagination and creative prowess's.

In accordance with exponential law, as we approach near to the year 2020, the size of a computer chip will begin to approach or go beyond near zero. We are already approaching five nanometres, and with other advances in screen technology, projection and device communication; it theoretically means that we are almost able to turn anything into a computer a highly diverse and functional communication device. This knowledge itself changes the very questions we need to ask ourselves and it will ultimately unbind our businesses and unbind our audiences. Increasingly business will be based on data interactions between companies and customers. Businesses will need to think how they will make these interactions meaningful and what their brands and products, their very communication will be like and how they will perform in this communication-driven world. Increasingly business will be based on data interactions between clients and their customers and the flexibility of their products and services.
